Early Career Development Awards
Congratulations to the 2008 Early Career Development Awardees! In 2007, CSCR offered for the first time seven $10,000 awards to K Awardees. We received over 20 high-quality applications for the award and the Selection Committee had the difficult task of selecting seven awardees based on the quality of their research and letters of support. As this was a new venture, the leadership of CSCR looks forward to offering and enhancing this program for 2009. Watch for announcements in September.

The 2008 Early Career Development Awardees are:

David Aronoff
University of Michigan

Rishi Arora
Northwestern University

Farr Curlin
University of Chicago

Jeffrey Jacobson
University of Chicago

Antony Kim
University of Chicago

Reena Mehra
Case Western Reserve University

Lisa Young
University of Cincinnati

Their work will be presented at the 2008 Combined Annual Meeting and we are excited to have these outstanding clinical and basic scientists participate and share their research.

  • Correlate science with the art of medical practice
  • Encourage scientific investigation
  • Disseminate this science among the members
The membership is a Who's Who of the academic leadership of the medical schools in the Midwest. CSCR has approximately 1000 active members throughout the Midwest U.S. and Canada. The society publishes the monthly Translational Research: The Journal of Laboratory and Clinical Medicine and holds an Annual Conference that contains over 300 papers, posters, lectures and state-of-the-art forums.
